Fact:
One study found, of adults who were home educated, none were on welfare, 94% said home education prepared them to be independent people, 79% said it helped them interact with individuals from different levels of society, and they strongly supported the home education method.
Fact:
Growing at the rate of 7% to 15% per year, there were 1,300,00 to 1,700,000 children (grades K-12) home educated during 1999-2000 in the United States. Studies show that the home educated repeatedly score as well or better, on average, than those in conventional schools.
Fact:
Researchers compared the critical thinking skills of four groups of college students - graduates of two types of private schools, of public schools, and home schools. There were no statistically significant differences in various critical thinking skills; the home educated did as well as the others.
